The
Powder River Boys There is a special kind of river
that flows out of the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. Like
other rivers, it has been running for a long time and, also
like other rivers, it's water seems to have a life of its
own. The difference is that this river is a dance band and
it's water is pure energy. The Powder
River Boys embody the feel of the west the same way that the
old Powder River itself. They have played with or opened
for western legends such as Chris Ledoux, Hank Thompson,
Suzie Bogguss, and Ian Tyson, and have left their mark deep
and wide after years of running their own brand of western
dance music across the country.
Singer-songwriter Dave Munsick is
joined by his boys Tris and Sam as well as Tom Lulias and
Fred Serna in creating a sound that is both unique and
familiar. As
Ian Tyson puts it, "Dave Munsick is a damned fine fiddle
player, a pretty good songwriter, and he's good to his
dog". With that kind of an endorsement, you can't go wrong
in taking this chance to ride on down and "let her buck". |
